The Logo Contest
In Winter of 2020, Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre’s Winnipeg Friendship Centre launched a logo contest. During the spring of 2021, community selected this logo as the winning design, and we are excited to announce that Dade McGinnis our logo design winner.
The Artist – Dade McGinnis
Dade is a self-taught artist who does paintings and drawings in a variety of mediums. Using both paint and drawing materials, he would often layer watercolour down and go over in coloured pencil or fineliners to enhance the overall image.
Dade has always done art for fun, but also does art for many other reasons; as a form of therapy, to heal and calm inner anxieties, as well as to convey the beauty of nature in his surroundings where he finds a lot of his inspiration for his art pieces.
